Study Links: MS-100 – Microsoft 365 Identity and Services (beta)

It’s time to prepare for some of the new exams Microsoft has released. Most / maybe all are listed here:
Microsoft 365 certification exams

I’m most interested in completing MS-100 and MS-101, so I can earn the designation “Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert“. Following that, I’m hoping to write MD-101, earning “Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate“. These three are my low hanging fruit, though I’m not expecting any walk-in-the-parks. If I can get these out of the way, I’ll be most excited next to jump into the new certification track “Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate“. Finally, something current and official for certification around EMS! Until now, the closest things have been the dated exams 70-389, 70-695 (maybe 70-696) – all of which have been nearly worthless for a couple years.

At this time, there aren’t any (/many) courses available for these exams, and understandably so, since they’re still in beta. So, I’ll be using this page to store links to corresponding pages from docs.microsoft.com for each of the listed “Skills Measured”. This is part one – MS-100 / https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/exam-ms-100.aspx – and hopefully I’ll follow it up with part two, three, etc. until I get all these bad boys completed. For now, I’ll be updating the list, converting line items to links as I find the time.

💡 Tip
For the last two exams I wrote, I did a similar exercise, except in a Word document. The actual process of finding articles on docs.microsoft.com that match up with the skills measured was surprisingly very useful in helping me to remember where it was that I learned the various skills. The closest thing I can compare it to is Googling for answers when troubleshooting on the job. It’s almost like taking some of the 70 from the 70-20-10 rule and placing that in the 10.
